Our History

Lord & Evans Capital Group was founded by Kenneth M. Evans in 1997. Since it’s inception the firm has participated in numerous acquisitions, ,mergers, private equity and venture capital investments, and consulted with corporate boards and CEO’s on a wide array of strategic and corporate initiatives.
Lord & Evans Capital Group is a member of the Lord & Evans Companies which are active in distinct operating arenas: Deal Origination, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Consulting, and Real Estate Investments.
The firm is located in Charleston South Carolina, where it’s predecessor was founded in 1865. The four masted schooner logo depicts the company’s trading vessel that sailed between the ports of Charleston, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia throughout the 19th century.

Our Founder

Ken Evans has enjoyed a long and successful career in senior management positions and company ownership that uniquely qualifies him to serve a wide spectrum of clients including private equity firms, corporations, and private business owners. Ken brings real life hands-on experience as the former CEO of a publicly traded company and as an owner of a small family owned operating business.
As a consultant he has worked for Fortune 500 corporations, mid-market companies, small business owners, and a who’s-who of financial services firms.
Ken has served on several corporate boards, both public and private as well as numerous philanthropic and not for profit boards. He received his undergraduate education at Villanova University and is an alumnus of Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
